The exhibition in the Salzland Museum
The Salzland Museum in Schönebeck dedicates a separate exhibition space to Pömmelte Woodhenge. Here selected original finds are presented and excitingly explained by way of media stations and models. Worth visiting are also the thematic permanent exhibitions of the museum "Salzspu(e)ren" (“salt lines”) and "LebensStröme" (“currents of life”), which deal with historical salt production and inland waterway transport.

Sat and Sun 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. (April – October); 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. (November – March)

The Woodhenge is freely accessible all year round.

Guided tours in the Woodhenge

The Salzland Museum organises guided tours for groups and school classes in the Woodhenge. Please make an appointment.

Public tours
1st April to 31st October: every Tuesday 11 a.m., Friday to Sunday 2 p.m., Fee: 3.50 € per person

Directions
The Woodhenge at Pömmelte-Zackmünde can be reached from the A14 junction Schönebeck via the B246a in the direction of Schönebeck/Gommern.
At the second roundabout (after about 11 km on the B246a) take the first exit towards Barby.
After 1.9 km, in Zackmünde turn right (Flugplatz [airfield]), follow the road, after 1.5 km turn left to the parking area at the Woodhenge.
A parking area is available free of charge directly at the Woodhenge.
