eMuseum Sky Paths
The eMuseum Sky Paths unites the five sites of the Sky Paths in a virtual space. With this choice of dissemination, the Sky Disc of Nebra and its world can be experienced online.
For the first time, the Nebra Sky Disc can be viewed as a realistic 3D model. A true highlight, that offers the opportunity to view the Sky Disc from every direction in detail.
»ArchaeoStories« offer exhibitions exclusivly developed for the virtual space that are accessible in a variety of media formats (video clips, 3D models, and much more).
Another section is »Dig Deeper«, in the true sense of the word. Here, scientific results and insights from the excavations on the Sky Path sites are reproduced and can be directly experienced.
At »Free Space« visitors can discover a section dedicated to prehistoric cooking, digital games and a variety of coloring sheets available to download and print out.
A free poster exhibition in seven languages (German, English, French, Spanish, Russian, Standard Arabic and Chinese) with the title »The Sky Disc of Nebra - Europe´s centre 3.600 years ago« is available for download as another highlight. 19 posters explainthe Sky Disc and the sites of the Sky Paths.
The eMuseum Sky Paths was developed in the context of the UNESCO - Memory of the World project »Kontextualisiertes Erleben der Himmelsscheibe von Nebra. Schätze der Menschheit im Spannungsfeld zwischen archäologischen Originalschauplätzen und digitaler Welt.« at the State Museum of Prehistory in Halle (Saale).
